Held at the Abraham’s Tabernacle, the Easter Monday thanksgiving service was more than a birthday ceremony—it was a reflection of a life that has straddled enterprise, governance, and enduring relationships across Nigeria’s power structure.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led the outpouring of tributes, describing Daniel as a distinguished engineer, accomplished entrepreneur, and loyal political ally whose contributions to Nigeria remain significant.

In a goodwill message delivered at the event, Tinubu traced Daniel’s rise from humble beginnings to national prominence, praising his resilience, courage, and commitment to excellence in both private and public life.
He highlighted Daniel’s founding of Kresta Laurel in 1990, noting how the firm grew into a major player in Nigeria’s engineering sector, particularly in elevator installation and maintenance.

The President also applauded Daniel’s tenure as Ogun State governor from 2003 to 2011, describing it as transformative, with lasting impact in infrastructure, education, industrialization, and public-private partnerships. Key legacy projects such as the establishment of Tai Solarin University of Education and the conceptualisation of an agro-allied cargo airport were cited as enduring contributions.

Now representing Ogun East in the Senate, Daniel, Tinubu said, has continued to play a vital role in national development.
