Tinubu, Abiodun Receive Boost As Ogun APC Youths Hold Solidarity Walk in Ijebu Ode
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dapo Abiodun received a fresh political boost as youths of the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) staged a solidarity walk in Ijebu Ode.
The march, which drew party faithful and supporters from different parts of the state on Tuesday, began at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium and moved through major streets of the town.
Participants displayed banners, placards and party flags, voicing support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and applauding Governor Abiodun’s developmental efforts across Ogun State.
The event, organised by the APC Youth League, was also used to commemorate February 11 — a date party leaders described as significant in the state’s political journey.
Speaking with journalists, the National President of the APC Youth League, Comrade Olamide Lawal, recalled that on February 11, 2019, supporters of Governor Abiodun were allegedly attacked at the same stadium. Despite the incident, he noted, the governor went on to secure victory at the polls.
Lawal explained that since 2020, APC youths in the state have continued to mark the date with empowerment initiatives and freedom walks, maintaining that Governor Abiodun again emerged victorious in the 2023 election.
According to him, the solidarity walk was aimed at demonstrating appreciation and reaffirming loyalty to both leaders.
“For a leader who has done so much, Ogun youths must show genuine love and unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Dapo Abiodun. On the President’s mandate we stand, and we will continue to mobilise and sensitise our youths on government achievements,” he said.

He added that the youth league has adopted what he described as an “evangelism approach” to promote confidence in government policies, stressing that their public march reflected their belief that both administrations have performed creditably.
Also speaking, the Gateway State Coordinator of the APC Youth League, Fayomi Yunus, said the turnout demonstrated that Ogun youths remain firmly aligned with the leadership of the President and the Governor.
“We believe in their vision and leadership and are committed to supporting policies that will move our state and nation forward,” he stated.
In his remarks, Comrade Oluwafemi Ajayi, National President of the National Association of Ogun State Students, expressed satisfaction with reforms at the federal level and ongoing infrastructural and economic initiatives of the state government. He noted that the Abiodun administration continues to prioritise youth empowerment, job creation and infrastructure development.

The solidarity walk ended peacefully, with organisers reaffirming their commitment to sustained mobilisation across the state in support of both leaders.
