Bomode Oku Society of Iperu To Commission Multi-purpose Hall and Secretariat This Saturday

The Blessed Bomode Oku Society of Iperu Remo, Ogun State, is set to commission its long-awaited Secretariat/Multipurpose Hall this Saturday, May 31, 2025.
The event, which will take place between 11am and 7pm at the BBOS Secretariat/Multipurpose Hall, located beside Foursquare Gospel Church, Imale, off Ilisan Road, Iperu Remo, promises to be a grand affair.
The commissioning of the hall is part of the society's 60th anniversary celebration, marking six decades of promoting unity, love, and community development. The society, founded in 1964 by the parents of the current President, Mr. Tajudeen AMUSA, and Lady President, Fausat OSO-ADESUYI, has come a long way in fostering community growth and complementing government efforts.
The society's membership, comprising over 100 successful individuals based at home and in the diaspora, includes renowned professionals, business owners, and top civil servants. Notable members include Dr. Oluwatoyin Sakirat MADEIN, the first female Accountant General of the Federation. Of course, music entertainment would be provided by Musiliu Haruna ISHOLA-BELLO, a celebrated apala crooner.

The commissioning ceremony will feature the installation of chiefs and the presentation of awards of honour to deserving members. Dignitaries expected to attend include a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Barr. Olusola Idowu, High Chief (Mrs) Aderonke Shodiya, Iyalode of Iperu Akesan Land, and Chief (Mrs) Dame Adesola Oluyinka Adebutu, the Iyaloja General for Ikenne Local Government Area.
The society's 60th anniversary celebration began on Thursday with a special Muslim prayer, followed by a parade and visits to officers and chiefs yesterday. The event will be rounded off on Sunday, June 1, 2025, with a Thanksgiving service at the St. Paul's African (Bethel) Church, Iperu Remo, commencing from 10 am.
The commissioning of the Secretariat /Multipurpose Hall is a testament to the society's commitment to community development and its determination to create a lasting legacy for future generations. With this milestone, the Blessed Bomode Oku Society of Iperu Remo cements its position as a leading socio-cultural age-grade group in the community.
