As Muslims across the world celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, Dr. Gloria Shoda, President of the Africa Council of Women and Board Member of the International Council of Women, has extended her warmest greetings to Muslims across the globe.
In her message, she wrote: "This auspicious day embodies the values of sacrifice, compassion, and devotion, reminding us of the importance of empathy, kindness, and generosity.
"As you commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son let us reflect on the universal themes of love, obedience, and faith that bind us together.
"On this blessed day, I wish to emphasize the significance of unity, interfaith harmony, and love in our increasingly diverse and complex world.
" Let us strive to build bridges of understanding, respect, and cooperation among people of different faiths and backgrounds." She admonished.
According to her: "As we rejoice with our Muslim brothers and sisters, let us remember the vulnerable, the marginalized, and those in need. Let us recommit ourselves to promoting a culture of peace, tolerance, and mutual respect.
"May the spirit of Eid-il-Kabir inspire everyone to work towards a brighter future, where we can live with dignity, equality, and justice.
"May your celebrations be filled with joy, love, and warmth, surrounded by family, friends, and community.
"Eid-el-Kabir Mubarak to all Muslims around the world!" She concluded.
