The Olowo Oloye Foundation, under the leadership of its Chairman and Founder, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein, Nigeria’s first female Accountant-General of the Federation, has congratulated the people of Iperu Remo on the joyous celebration of the 39th Akesan Day.

In a goodwill message personally signed by Dr. (Mrs.) Madein, the Foundation extended warm felicitations to the Iperu Regency Council, the Royal Fathers, the Iperu Akesan Development Association, the 2025 Akesan Day Planning Committee, and all indigenes of Iperu Akesan Land both at home and abroad.

The message also saluted the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON—an illustrious son of Iperu—on the notable communal festival.

Aligning with this year’s theme, “Building a Stronger and United Iperu Akesanland,” the Foundation announced its sponsorship of a comprehensive Free Health Programme as part of the week-long activities for the 2025 celebration.

The medical outreach, an initiative jointly organized by the Olowo Oloye Foundation for Empowerment & Education, the Iperu Remo Health Scheme Management Board, and the 2025 Akesan Day Planning Committee—will hold on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Alaperu Palace, starting at 10 a.m.

The health programme will feature free medical screenings, consultations, medications, and health education, targeting hundreds of residents of Iperu and neighbouring communities. The initiative underscores the Foundation’s longstanding commitment to the well-being and sustainable development of Iperu Akesan Land.

Reflecting on the significance of the celebration, Dr. (Mrs.) Madein expressed heartfelt joy, stating:

As a proud daughter of this great land, I felicitate the Regency Council, our Royal Fathers, community leaders, our amiable Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, and the entire Iperu community on this auspicious 39th Akesan Day celebrations.

"The Free Health Programme is our modest contribution towards building a healthier, stronger, and more united Iperu Akesanland. We remain dedicated to the progress and empowerment of our people,” she added.

In further demonstration of its “Giving Back to Society” mandate, the Olowo Oloye Foundation will also formally hand over a newly built and fully equipped Information Technology Centre to the Iperu community on Friday, November 28, 2025.

The Foundation wished all indigenes a peaceful, memorable, and fulfilling 39th Akesan Day celebration.

Founded over three years ago in honour of her late father, Alhaji Surakat Oyebanjo Sanni (Olowo Oloye), former Seriki Adeen of Iperu, the Olowo Oloye Empowerment and Education Foundation has remained devoted to empowering underserved communities.

Its initiatives include scholarships, literacy programmes, skill acquisition and micro-financing schemes, entrepreneurship support, gender and child-rights advocacy, and community development projects such as clean water and healthcare access. It also continues to build partnerships with government agencies and international development bodies.
