Govt Policy On Education Yielding Positive Results, Says Odulate, Sagamu LG Boss.

The Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Hon. Jubril Afolabi Odulate, has attributed the outstanding performance of pupils in elementary schools to the resourceful policy of the present administration on education.
He made this assertion at a school competition tagged "Unleashing the Hidden Gem," a talent exhibition organized for public primary schools in Sagamu by a non-governmental organization, Teach for Nigeria.
The achievements recorded so far in our elementary schools are due to the revitalization initiative of the present administration in the education sector, which has attracted stakeholders and NGOs to support the government in its mission to enhance the education sector
The event, held at Wesley Primary School, Oko 2, Isale Oko, Sagamu, showcased the talents of pupils in various areas, including singing, dancing, drawing, and artwork. Hon. Odulate praised the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration for its giant strides in the education sector, noting that the developmental policies have attracted various NGOs to partner with the state towards supporting the "Building Our Future Together" agenda.

The Head of School Services, Sagamu Local Government Education Authority, Mrs. Morayo Rabiu, expressed delight over the efforts of the Governor in creating an enabling environment for both teachers and learners to excel. She appreciated the teachers for their unrelenting efforts in preparing the learners for the competition and urged them to continue putting in their best.

In her keynote address, the Programme Director, Mrs. Bosede Ogidan, emphasized that every child is a hidden gem and appreciated the school leaders, teachers, and parents for discovering the hidden talents in each learner. She noted that excellence is not limited to books and grades, but also includes talents such as singing, dancing, and drawing.
The outcome of the competition had Local Government Primary School emerging as the winner, followed by Wesley Primary School in second position, and St. John Primary School 3 Ogijo in third position.
