CIPM to Inaugurate Remo and Ijebu Chapter on May 29 @ Hilltop Hotel, Sagamu.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) is set to inaugurate its Remo and Ijebu Chapter on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The event will take place at the prestigious Hilltop Hotel, located off Oba Erinwole Road in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the institute’s expansion efforts, aimed at deepening professional human resources practice across the Remo and Ijebu Divisions of Ogun State. The event will be hosted by the pioneer chairman of the newly established chapter, Prince Adebayo Enoch Akinde.

According to a press release issued by the Remo and Ijebu chapter, the ceremony is expected to attract a wide array of HR professionals, administrators from private organizations, and representatives from public establishments within the region.

Themed “The Role of HR in Promoting a Healthy Work Life,” the inauguration will feature the immediate past President of CIPM, Mr. Olusegun Mojeed, as the keynote speaker. His address will focus on the strategic importance of human resources in enhancing workplace wellbeing and productivity.

The event will also have in attendance prominent traditional rulers from the region, including the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo Land, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Torungbuwa II; the Ologijo of Ogijo, HRH Oba Kazeem Gbadamosi; the Ayanperuwa of Sotubo, HRH Oba Muyideen Oluseyi Ogunsola, Soile I; and the Oba Orimadegun I of Araromi Sagamu, Oba Solomon Adegboyega Oguntade.

All these dignitaries hail from Sagamu Local Government Area, home to a large concentration of companies operating in the state.

In addition, invitations have been extended to all local government chairmen across the Remo and Ijebu Divisions, which form the operational jurisdiction of the new CIPM chapter.

Mrs. Oladunni Olusola Adetona, the Ogun State Chairman of CIPM, will serve as the Chief Host of the event. The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of CIPM, Ms. Oluwatoyin Naiwo, will attend as the Special Guest of Honour, while Engineer Sean Bode Badiru, immediate past Chairman of the Ogun State branch, will be present as the Guest of Honour.

The Chairman of the local organising committee for the inauguration of Remo and Ijebu Chapter is Mrs Gbemisola Alakija, who is the HR Manager, Olam Agric Nigeria; she is also the pioneer vice chairman of the chapter, who will be inaugurated along with the chairman, Prince Akinde and other members of the Executive Council.
