Gov Abiodun is sad over Alaafin Oba Adeyemi's death.

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has disclosed how sad he felt while receiving the news of the death of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, on Saturday morning.

The late Alaafin who reportedly died on Friday night at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, after a brief illness. 

He was 83years old.

His corpse was moved out of the hospital to his palace in Oyo town, Oyo State , by 3:00am this Saturday morning and the traditional burial rites had been carried for him to be laid to rest by the traditionalists, after the Chief Imam and other Muslim faithful had offered their Islamic funeral prayers.

While commiserating with the family on his Instagram page, Gov Abiodun described the late monarch as a very "energetic royal patriarch who ruled a tranquil kingdom over appreciated years..."

He prayed that God would grant his family and Oyo people the fortitude to bear the loss. 

He added that both the people and Government of Ogun State were commiserating with the late monarch's family and Oyo people.
