The pastor in charge of The Redeemed Christians Church of God, RCCG, Lagos Province 56, Pastor Sesan Olayinka has disclosed that for anyone to succeed in the kingdom of God, the secret is not in struggling and sweating but being in a good covenant relationship with God and men God assigned to one as helpers of destiny and covenant partners.

for anyone to succeed in the kingdom of God is not by struggling but being in a good covenant relationship with God and men God assigned to one

He stated this on Monday evening while preaching on the topic; The Mercy of God, at the beginning of the 4th anniversary of the inauguration of Pastor Enoch Adebayo Akinde as the pastor in charge of Milk & Honey Area of the RCCG, His Power Zone, Sagamu, Ogun State.

According to him, it takes wisdom for one to know how to relate with everyone God has ordained as one's helper of destiny, who may be placed in one's ways as a boss, friend, marital or business partner, neighbor and so on.

He noted that being aware of power of covenant is very crucial. Being faithful to the demands of the covenant and relating very well with the covenanter, will help one achieve easily what others are struggling to achieve for years.
Pastor Akinde: The host pastor.

Quoting from the Holy Bible, Mark 10: 46-52, he cited the blind Bartimaeus as a classical example of a man who was smart enough to discern what he could get from Jesus Christ and didn't allow his opportunity of meeting this helper of destiny to be wasted. He made the best use of his appointed time.

"Bartimaeus knew that he didn't deserve God's goodness. And that only mercy of God can help him out."

Pastor Olayinka noted that the blind Bartimaeus understood what the Bible says about, "arise and shine for your light has come" and when he heard about the presence of Jesus Christ, he didn't ask for alms or engage in self justification, but simply requested for God's mercy, to enable him get the light so that he could see.

"Bartimaeus knew that he didn't deserve God's goodness. And that only mercy of God can help him out," the pastor said.

"If God withdraws from the world His mercy for a minute, the whole Earth will be doomed.
"So, the greatest miracle every living being gets daily, that makes such a living being to be alive, is God's mercy." He added.

He made it clear that if the widow of Zarephath had not gotten mercy of God which made God to send a man who was in covenant relationship with God to her, and if she had not cooperated with the man, Elijah, and be sensitive to help this helper of destiny, her life would have ended like terribly.

Quoting from the Holy Bible again, Matthew 18: 33-35, he admonished the congregants to be merciful to others as well, if they really wanted to get mercy from God.

The ministration he started by 5:45pm was rounded up with anointing service, in which he personally anointed everyone in the  church auditorium. He then pronounced blessings on them.
