Latest on Ajimobi: We're still praying for him not to die, says Media Adviser

Former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is not dead but serious prayers are being offered for him to recover quickly.

Ajimobi's Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Mr Bolaji Tunji told Successful People Magazine in a telephone interview on Thursday night at 10:35pm . 

"He is not dead. We are still praying for him"Mr Tunji said.

His daughter, Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi had earlier tweeted at 9:45pm via her Twitter handle @FatimaGanduje, "Thank you for all the messages but our father is still alive, alhamdulillah. When it is time we will all die so wait first"

The ex-governor who would have taken over as the Acting National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) this week couldn't because of his ailing conditions .

Ajimobi was reported dead yesterday by some online newspapers has been receiving treatment in a Lagos hospital after testing positive to Coronavirus according to reports

 It's obvious he had not recovered fully, hence the need for prayers for God to intervene in his recovery speedily.

 While celebrating his 70th birthday last December the ex-governor had reportedly disclosed that no one in his male lineage ever attained  age 70.
