The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across the state, commending them for their steadfastness and unwavering prayers during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement issued from Abeokuta, Governor Abiodun described Ramadan as a sacred period of reflection, devotion, and self-discipline—a time to renew commitment to both Almighty Allah and the service of humanity. 

He praised the Muslim faithful for their perseverance throughout the 30-day fast, emphasizing that the season is not only about abstaining from food and drink but also about increased acts of charity, compassion, and support for the less privileged—virtues that strengthen both faith and society.

The Governor expressed gratitude to Ogun State Muslims for their continuous prayers for peace, progress, and effective governance in the state and across Nigeria, noting that such spiritual support plays a vital role in fostering unity, stability, and democratic growth.

“As our Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate Eid al-Fitr, we join them in thanking Almighty Allah for the grace to witness the completion of this blessed month,” he said.

Governor Abiodun encouraged the faithful to carry forward the values of patience, generosity, humility, and righteousness learned during Ramadan, stressing that these principles should continue to guide daily life beyond the fasting period.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, social welfare, and the overall development of Ogun State for the benefit of all residents, regardless of religious affiliation.
