Omoluabi Movement Visits Ooni Ogunwusi, Secures Royal Blessings, Unveils 26 Buses for 2027

The Ogun State-based political group, Omoluabi Movement, on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, at his palace in Ile-Ife, Osun State, where it received royal blessings ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Led by its Convener, Armstrong ‘Tope Akintunde, the delegation included selected executive members, local government coordinators, and the State Coordinator, Hon. Olusegun Kaka. The group was warmly received by the revered monarch in what it described as a significant step in its political journey toward the next electoral cycle.

According to Akintunde, the visit was aimed at seeking royal guidance and blessings as the movement intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.

He described the Ooni as a father figure whose character and leadership embody the true essence of Omoluabi, noting that the monarch was part of the foundational inspiration behind the movement.

“Our royal father represents the values that define Omoluabi in all spheres of humanity. As we move into another political phase, it is important for us to seek his blessings and counsel,” Akintunde said.

He reiterated that the movement’s primary objective is to mobilise massive grassroots support for the second-term aspiration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. He added that the group remains committed to supporting all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State who emerge from the party primaries.

“We are fully prepared to mobilise across the length and breadth of Ogun State. The re-election of our dear President remains our foremost assignment, alongside unwavering support for all our party’s candidates, just as we did during the 2023 general elections,” he stated.

As part of activities marking the visit, the movement unveiled 26 newly acquired buses to strengthen its grassroots mobilisation structure across the state. The buses, branded in the movement’s colours, are expected to enhance political coordination and participation in key party activities, including the forthcoming national convention in Abuja.

In his remarks, the State Coordinator, Hon. Olusegun Kaka, commended the convener’s vision, dedication, and strategic leadership. He noted that the acquisition of the buses reflects the movement’s organisational strength and readiness for structured engagement as the 2027 elections approach.

The Ooni, while addressing the delegation, expressed appreciation for the visit and offered prayers for unity, growth, and continued success in the movement’s future endeavours.

Over time, the Omoluabi Movement has positioned itself as a fast-growing, grassroots-driven political platform committed to leadership development, community engagement, and progressive governance in Ogun State.

With an established presence across local government areas and a clearly defined mobilisation framework, the group continues to expand its influence and strengthen citizen participation in the democratic process.
