Consistent Compassion: Prince Adeyemi-Oriola Hosts Another Christmas Party for Children in Ijebu Ode.

The spirit of Christmas came alive in Ijebu-Ode as Prince Olawale Yusuf Adeyemi-Oriola (Esq.) hosted a grand and colourful Christmas party for hundreds of children, turning the Agunsebi community into a hub of joy, laughter, and celebration.
Though unavoidably absent, the prince’s presence was strongly felt through members of his Obayori age group and family, who seamlessly coordinated the event on his behalf.
Their involvement underscored what many community members described as a tradition of compassion and selfless service long associated with Prince Adeyemi-Oriola.
According to the organisers, the initiative reflects the prince’s enduring commitment to child welfare and community development, particularly during festive seasons when inclusion and love matter most.
Speaking with journalists via telephone, Adeyemi-Oriola said the celebration was driven by his personal belief that children deserve to feel valued and cared for, especially at Christmas.
“Christmas is a period of giving, sharing joy, and making children feel that they truly belong,” he said. Adding that generosity during such moments gives him deep personal fulfilment.
“If I do not give at a time like this, I do not feel relaxed, because Christmas represents love and sacrifice,” he noted.
The event attracted parents, guardians, and other community members, many of whom praised the gesture as a meaningful contribution to nurturing young minds while strengthening communal bonds.
Children in attendance received makeshift school bags containing essential learning materials such as water bottles, pens, notebooks, rulers, and erasers, alongside food packs.
The celebration also featured a lively children’s dance competition, during which selected parents went home with bags of foodstuffs, including garri, rice, and Semovita—adding excitement and practical support to the festivities.
Prominent members of Obayori Okunrin Asiwaju Akile Ijebu, including Otun Giwa Kuku, Ayodeji Kolade, and Oduwole Olabanji, graced the occasion.
They congratulated Prince Adeyemi-Oriola and commended his generosity, describing the initiative as a noble example of leadership anchored in service and compassion.
