Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Abiodun At 90: Omoluabi Movement Celebrates Ogun Governor's Mother Birthday In Style

As notable Nigerians, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, converged on Wednesday at St. James’ Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, Ogun State to celebrate the 90th birthday of Governor Dapo Abiodun's mother, Chief (Mrs) Victoria Abiodun, a socio-political group, Omoluwabi Movement, hosted a special event in honour of the nonagenarian celebrant.
The group, which is rooted in good governance and community development, hosted the special event at the expansive Ajadeh Events Centre, Iperu, with thousands of their members and admirers from across the state in attendance.
Without mincing words, it was a glorious day, filled with joy, honour, and thanksgiving in the Governor's home town, Iperu, as the mother, who just joined the club of nonagenarians of this world, was full of joy, having witnessed her son's 65th birthday this year in good health, in addition to still remaining the Governor of the State since 2019.
The occasion which drew eminent personalities from all walks of life, also had in attendance the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, who represented President Tinubu.
Apart from former president Obasanjo who was there in person, the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, were also in attendance.
Other political juggernauts in attendance were: Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), and Hope Uzodinma (Imo), among others.
Former governors of Ogun, Ondo, Edo and Delta States, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, Senator Ibukunle Amosun, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, Senator Adams Oshiomole and Chief James Ibori; together with former Speaker Dimeji Bankole, Senator Solomon Adeola Yayi, were all distinguished attendees there.
Foremost royal father, the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, led other traditional rulers to honour Mama Abiodun, as well.
Likewise captains of industry, top public and civil servants, numerous other well-wishers also gathered there to rejoice with the Abiodun family and pay glowing tributes to a woman whose life embodies grace, service, and virtue.
Dr. Yinka Ayefele (OJA), a renowned gospel-juju maestro, thrilled guests with soul-lifting music, making the event the type no attendee can forget in a hurry.
Convener of the Omoluabi Movement, Mr. Armstrong ’Tope Akintunde, described Mama Victoria Abiodun as a true matriarch, a rare gem, and a blessing to Remoland and Ogun State. Akintunde lauded her decades of nurturing values, faith, and selflessness that have shaped generations.

Speaking on the milestone celebration, Armstrong said: “It is every parent’s prayer to live long enough to see their children flourish and make them proud. Mama Abiodun has not only witnessed that but has become a living testimony of God’s faithfulness.
"She is one in a million, a mother to all, whose legacy of kindness and discipline continues to inspire us. We are proud to celebrate her today and always.” He added.
Indeed, Mama Victoria Olaitan Abiodun stands tall as a beacon of virtue, her 90 years marked by compassion, courage, and character. Her story remains an inspiration to mothers, leaders, and the younger generation across Ogun State and beyond.

While speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Segun Kaka, General Coordinator of the Omoluabi Movement, emphasized that the celebration transcends family ties.
