Ogun Chief Whip, Bakare Fulfils Campaign Promises With Market, Health Centre & Water Project.

Ijebu-Ode witnessed a new wave of grassroots development on Friday as the Ogun State House of Assembly Chief Whip and member representing Ijebu-Ode State Constituency, Hon. Omolola Bakare, commissioned a series of landmark constituency projects, fulfilling key campaign promises.

In a celebratory commissioning tour, Hon. Bakare, joined by the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, and other top dignitaries, unveiled a 40-unit open-stall market at Itamapako, designed to boost economic activities for local farmers and traders.

The event attracted prominent figures including the Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker; Minority Leader, Hon. Lukman Adeleye; Hon. Adegoke Awoso (Yewa North); Chairman of Ijebu-Ode Local Government, Hon. Damilare Alebiosu; Oba Osusanmi, the Aladeken of Oke-Ako; and other political leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders.

The projects commissioned include:

• 40 Open-Stalls Market at Itamapako
• Borehole Water Projects at Ajegunle Ijada and Ojofa Street
• Public Toilet Facility at Oke-Aje Market
• Primary Health Care Centre at Sabo Molode

Speaking to her constituents, Hon. Bakare expressed gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Speaker for their unwavering support.

 “

During our campaign, I promised to address the needs of our people. Today, I’m happy to say many of those promises have been fulfilled, and more projects are underway. The Itamapako market women asked for open stalls, and I am proud to deliver them today, 

she said.

Rt. Hon. Elemide commended Bakare’s dedication, describing her as a pace-setter among lawmakers elected in the last general election.

“This is my first time commissioning projects in this Assembly, and it’s thanks to Hon. Omolola’s excellent performance. She’s proven herself capable, committed, and impactful,”

he noted.

Hon. Alebiosu hailed the projects as a boost to the community’s economy and wellbeing, while Mrs. Alatishe, the Iyalaje of Ijebuland, praised Bakare’s commitment to improving market infrastructure and empowering traders.
