"I'm still in the presidential race", Says Pastor Tunde Bakare

The Senior Pastor of the Citadel Global Community Church, CGCC, Tunde Bakare has disclosed that he was still in the presidential race to get the All Progressive Congress, APC, ticket at the ongoing party's convention.

He told Premium Times on Tuesday(Today) afternoon in Abuja that he was yet to be officially told to withdraw from the race by any governor or National Working Committee of the party.

“I have not heard. There are several news flying around, I have to be told officially. I have not been told. 

"I will confirm the instruction when I get to the venue (venue of the convention). But I remain in the race. I have not stepped down." He said.

Bakare, a lawyer and clergyman, is among the twenty three aspirants who purchased the APC presidential election form recently, jostling to become President of Nigeria in 2023, if elected.
