With all his degrees, which include Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.Ed), Master of Science, (M.Sc.Ed), Doctor of Education (EdD), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), this man, Prof.Joseph Sunday Odemuyiwa, humbled himself and went to Agege, Lagos State, some years ago, to learn many vocations from artisans and vocational centers.
He is an erudite business educator and a great resource person for government and people of Ogun State, and Nigeria as a whole.
It may interest you to note that he is not just a Professor of Business Education and Office Systems Management who is vast in business theories, he possesses the practical knowledge of business as well.
In fact, he has learnt nineteen(19) vocations which include: production of perfume, liquid soaps and detergent, insecticides, paint, candles, printing, publishing,impact adhesive(Evo-stick), yogurt, wines(alcoholic and non-alcoholic), ginger drinks, textiles design(ADIRE, Kampala) disinfectant, preservatives, chalks, among others.
Beyond the four walls of universities and polytechnics, he has thought a lot of people in many places and trained them to become artisans and professionals. Consequently, he has been setting a lot of people free from problems of joblessness and rescuing them from living in penury.

Born on 12th May 1958, lsara Remo, Ogun State, Odemuyiwa who is the immediate past President of Workplace Educators and Managers Association of Nigeria (WEMAN) had been the National President of the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN) between 2010 and 2013.
He was the past President/Chairman of Council, Institute of Business and Office Administrators of Nigeria.

He holds the Pitman Higher Diploma in Office Management, Technical Teachers Certificate, Bachelor of Science. Masters of Science, Doctor of Education (EdD), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degrees in Business Education and Office Systems Management from Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos, St. John's University, Notre Dame, Indiana, North Eastern University, Evanston, and Universiti Technologi, MARA, Malaysia, respectively.
His Teaching Career
Teachers are leaders. And leaders are teachers. But not all leaders are good teachers and not all teachers are good leaders.
With over 32 years experience as a teacher, Odemuyiwa led himself and many of his students well from the short time he spent as an Accounts teacher in Mayflower School, Ikenne, Ogun State.
Since then he had developed the leader in him and grew up to become the Principal of O&A Academy, Ikenne. Ogun State. As he continued to develop himself he became a Lecturer (Higher Instructor) in Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo, Lagos State, Tai Solarin University of Education, and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, both in Ogun State. He was also at a time a visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of Lagos.
Contributions To National Development
This renowned Professor of Bussines Education & Office Systems Management, has served also in several Federal Government/Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council(FG/NERDC) committees on curriculum development in Nigeria; and the National University Commission and National Board for Technical Education (NUC/NBTE)Benchmark committees for Universities and Polytechnics respectively in his area of specialisation.
This professor was once a member of the Governing Board of National Business and Technical Education Board(NABTEB), Benin City; representing the entire Business Educators at all levels in Nigeria on the Board.

He was the immediate past Country Director of the African Centre for Research & Innovation, and the current Chief Executive of Pitman Education and Training Limited, an affiliate of Pitman Education and Training, London.

Political Appointments
was appointed the Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Education, Science and Technology on the 10th of January, 2020. And he got his assignment on Technical Education on 1st May, 2020.
