Ogun NUJ Congratulates Nigeria PPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi On New Rank

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has sent its heartfelt congratulations to the Public Relations Officer of The Nigeria Police, Muyiwa Adejobi, on his recent elevation to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP.

In a press release issued by the  State General Secretary, Comrade Bunmi Adigun and e-signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, the Union said, "This well-deserved promotion is a testament to his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to public service.

"DCP Adejobi, who once served as the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in Ogun State and still serving as the PPRO at the federal level remains a shining example of excellence in law enforcement and public engagement." The Union stated.

While acknowledging the good professional conducts of DCP Adejobi, the Union writes:
"During his time in the State, he distinguished himself through effective communication with the media, respect for journalistic ethics, and a transparent approach to policing that won him the admiration of journalists and the public alike.

"Adejobi's promotion is not a personal achievement but also a source of pride for the people of Ogun State, particularly the media community. His steady rise through the ranks reflects years of diligent service and is a clear indication of the Nigerian Police Force’s recognition of merit and integrity.

"We Commend DCP Adejobi’s continuous support for press freedom, mutual cooperation with media professionals, and his enduring efforts in fostering peace and security across the country.

" Muyiwa Adejobi has always been a friend of the press. We celebrate him today because he has demonstrated that professionalism, humility, and loyalty can co-exist in public service", the statement added.

We Commend DCP Adejobi’s continuous support for press freedom, mutual cooperation with media professionals, and his enduring efforts in fostering peace and security across the country.

The Union encouraged the DCP to remain a role model to younger officers and to continue upholding the values that have defined his career.

'We express confidence that his new role would further enhance the relationship between the police and the press, which is vital to building a more secure and informed society.

"Ogun NUJ joins friends, colleagues, and well-wishers across Nigeria in celebrating this milestone and wishes DCP Muyiwa Adejobi continued success in his new capacity.
