 Eid Mubarak: A Message of Peace, Love, and Unity to Muslims in Africa from Dr. Gloria Shoda

As Muslims across Africa celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, the President of the Africa Regional Council of Women, Dr. Gloria Shoda, has extended warmest felicitations to Muslim communities across the continent.

In a heartfelt message, Dr. Shoda emphasized the values of peace, love, and unity that underpin the Eid celebrations. 

"As we mark the end of Ramadan, I want to take this opportunity to wish all Muslim women and men in Africa a joyous Eid al-Fitr. May this special day bring us closer to our families, friends, and communities, and may we continue to be beacons of hope, kindness, and compassion in our world."

She also appealed to Muslim men who are husbands to show genuine love to their wives and take good care of them, saying by so doing their homes would continue to experience peace.

She pointed out that women cherish love and cares from their husbands. And men who know this truth and live by it will always enjoy loyalty and genuine love from their wives; not forced or pretentious love.

No society, State, nation or continent can enjoy peace if there is no peace at home and in each family. The cumulative effects of chaos in every family where fathers don't play the right roles and take responsibility for good training of their children is what manifest in places where we experience all manners of violence and social ills.” She added.

To Muslim fathers he urge them to continue to cater for their children and entire family.

She then urged fathers and husbands to reflect more on all the lessons learned during the Ramadan to ensure that they make it a priority to make their families good examples for others to emulate.

Dr. Shoda, a renowned advocate for women's empowerment and good society, highlighted the importance of unity and solidarity among Muslims and people of all faiths.

 "As we celebrate Eid, let us remember the values that bring us together: love, compassion, and a commitment to the well-being of all. May we continue to work together to build a more just, equitable, and peaceful world."

The President also acknowledged the significant contributions of Muslim women to their communities and societies.

 "I want to pay tribute to the many Muslim women who are working tirelessly to promote peace, education, and economic empowerment in their communities. Your dedication, resilience, and leadership are an inspiration to us all."

As Muslims in Africa and around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr, Dr. Gloria Shoda's message serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of peace, love, and unity in building a better future for all, even as she ends her message with “Eid Mubarak!”.
