The Ogun State Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Apostle David Ahmed Otaru, has sent a condolence message to the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, over the death of his father, who passed away on Monday.

The governor's father, an Iperu-Remo prince, Dr Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun, died on Monday, August 2, at 89years.

Apostle Otaru
said, "I received the news of the death of the governor's father with mixed feelings. Firstly, because no matter how old your parents are, you don't want to lose them. Secondly, the father died a fulfilled man; because he was able to raise a worthy legacy in his son, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who is our governor".

The PFN State Chairman spoke with Successful People Magazine from Akwa Ibom State, where he was one of the national delegates on assignment, attending the   Akwa Ibom edition of the Greater Nigeria Prayer Project , currently being organized by the PFN across Nigeria, initiated by the National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke.

I received the news of the death of the governor's father with mixed feelings. Firstly, because no matter how old your parents are, you don't want to lose them. Secondly, the father died a fulfilled man; because he was able to raise a worthy legacy in his son, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who is our governor".

Otaru asked the governor to accept the condolence message from the PFN Ogun State, and take heart over the death, bearing in mind that the father lived and died a fulfilled man.

He said he would attend the burial with his PFN team in Ogun State.

Apostle Otaru then urged the people of Ogun State to continue to support the administration of Gov Abiodun  for him to fulfill his mandate for Ogun State.

He also charged the Christians, Muslims and believers in other religions to continue to live together in peace and harmony, saying, "without peace and harmony there can never be any meaningful development in Nigeria, or any state.

The cleric as well commiserated with the governor's mother, who is the widow that late Pa Abiodun left behind.

According to Apostle Otaru, the most bereaved person was the wife who he said would feel the pain of losing her husband of many decades at this old age.

"If there's anybody who will miss the late Daddy Abiodun the most, it is Mama, who is the wife. That's the truth. Only God can console her.
"I pray that God will comfort her" Apostle Otaru added.
