The award which was presented to him as a surprise honour was given immediately after he received a special gift the association gave him in recognition of his relentless services as the General Secretary in the zone.
This award proved again that the biblical Law of Harvest written in Genesis 8:22 which states "While the earth remains, seeds time and harvest...shall not cease" is true, powerful and unbreakable. It also confirmed the Law of Accumulation, which states that everything we do consistently (good or bad), no matter how little it seems will accumulate and bring reward.
His Personality Profile
Mr Oyeyemi, Chairman/CEO of Adebola Guest House, a certified teacher, seasoned hotelier, business administrator and key player in hospitality business, was born in May 1964, in Sagamu, Ogun State.
Educational Background
He attended St Paul's Primary School, Simawa(1970-1976) and Makun High School, both in Sagamu Local Government Area, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate(1985) respectively.
He was thereafter schooled in teaching at the then Ogun State College of Education (now Tai Sholarin University of Education), Ijebu Ode, where he became a certified teacher between 1986 and 1989. His thirst for business education led to his academic adventure into Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, where he bagged Bsc in Business Administration.
This subsequently led to his teaching career in secondary school. After few years of practicing he had to leave when Nigeria's June 12 political imbroglio lingered in the mid-1990s, and plunged the country into economic strangulation. As the adverse effects continued on the working class, with teachers being some of the major victims, he applied the Principle of Maneuvering, by stepping out of the education sector; bearing in mind that he who is afraid to shake the dice will never throw six.
Consequently he worked in a few establishments with the conviction that nothing ventured nothing gained. During the job sojourns in a few sectors, he landed in hotel industry and developed strong interest in it.
Passion, Commitment & Rewards
His passion for the business led to his active involvement in the hoteliers' association activities. And this led to his serving HAN in diffent capacities, both at the zonal and state levels, even up to Southwest regional programs of the association.
In recognition of his commitment to the association, he was given a honorary title of NANA by Hoteliers Association of Greater Accra in Ghana, for some of his activities in the industry.
On that January 9, he was not only given award and special gift, but also presented with certificate along with other executive members. He was eulogised for the series of things he has done to keep the association going and stronger.
Social Life & Status
As a socialite person who is also a key player in the hospitality business, Oyeyemi joined Rotary Club with his sociable heart and immersed himself in humanitarian services in the Sagamu and its environs. His leadership qualities, administrative competence coupled with his diligence led to his election as President of the great club in that part of the country.
Life Lessons
Speaking on the award, Oyeyemi who disclosed that he has been in the sector now for about 27years, he has learnt another life lessons.
"I have learnt again that if you're doing anything good and nobody is praising you. And instead of praises some are even condemning you, don't be discouraged. Just continue to do that good things, because some people are watching you. They may not talk; the day you least expected, the issue will be pointed out or rewarded"
Marriage & Family
He is married to his heartthrob Princess Olufunke Oyeyemi and the union is blessed with children.
