Ogun Govt. Cracks Down on Environmental Infractions, Seals Four Industries

The Ogun State Government has taken decisive action against four industries found guilty of environmental infractions, sealing their operations. The affected industries are:


Fortune Height Farms Limited, Located in Odogbolu Local Government Area, this egg and catfish production company was sealed for allegedly discharging untreated waste into the environment, prompting complaints from the local community.


Sanda Wood Industry Limited, which is also located in Odogbolu, was shut down for allegedly denying government officials access to its facility and engaging in open burning.


The third company is Shengceramic Material Limited, situated along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogere, this industry was sealed for allegedly violating environmental regulations.


The fourth organization is Nehemiah Grace Developer Limited, located along Ijako in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State for allegedly encroaching on waterways and constructing drainage without a permit.


Hon. Farouk Akintunde, Special Adviser to the Governor on Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA), emphasized the government's commitment to enforcing environmental laws. 

"Ogun State government will not fold its hands and allow these industries to violate our Environmental laws," he stated. 

This move demonstrates the government's efforts to promote sustainable development and protect public health in Ogun State
